Senegal wildlife birds watching

In northern Senegal, on the banks of the Senegal River. In the middle of dry acacia and semi-desert, home to many species, including the often visible grey warbler, as well as the very discreet Sennar’s grey woodpecker and great tit. We will also find the once almost mythical golden nightjar, now found in these parts, as well as the Arabian bustard and the Savoy bustard that hovers over the dry grasslands. For a total contrast, we will also discover wetlands such as the Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary, where a large number of waterbirds migrate, and with some surprises such as the allen’s gallinule
